I did not get Bluetooth on my Windows 10 PC. I killed my phone every day while listening to music while working. When searching for these products, I was afraid that the content would automatically download to connect to the PC, since some workplaces block this type of content. I connected it and in a minute I connected my Bluetooth headphones! I’m very happy! And I’m sure my phone is too. I immediately connected it to Plantronic PLT Focus for audio and voice. Do not merge with the drivers or any configuration (really plug and play). It’s only been two days since I used it, but the pairing is fast when I turn on the headset, I have not lost the connection yet and it offers good audio and voice quality for computer conferencing and phone calls.
I have not used it yet for music. As an added benefit, the thing does not have a ridiculous LED light that other vendors want to put on most network accessories. My previous USB device had an integrated LED light and I had to paste a tape to try to block the light (partially worked). If you are traveling (hotel rooms) or, sometimes, leave the computer on the bedside table, the last thing you want is a blue glow that illuminates the room when you try to sleep. In most cases, the Windows drivers found here are “self-extracting” (.exe) files. Click on the desired file. When prompted, set the destination on your desk. Create a new folder and move the file to it. Click on the file to automatically extract the software and the associated files in your new folder. You can also extract or move these files to a floppy disk. Note that these files will only be self-extracting if they are run from Windows. After extracting the files to a disk or special directory, locate the installer, usually called “setup.exe” or “install.exe”, and then click on it to start the installation.
