TP-Link Archer T9E AC1900 Driver – TP-Link Archer T9E AC1900 driver is a software component that allows the operating system to communicate with TP-Link Archer T9E AC1900 PCIe Wifi Adapter. For example, suppose that an application needs to read some data from a device. The application calls a function implemented by the operating system and the operating system calls a function implemented by the controller.

We would have thought that with the appearance and maturation of 802.11ac, we would have seen more, and I’m not only talking about routers, but also adapters or network cards that can be used on PCs. cable The reality of the market is very different and today we decided to take a look at the wireless network card of our friends TP-LINK – Archer T9E. One of the reasons why 802.11ac compatible jumpers, adapters and motherboards do not appear too often in stores is that they use almost the same hardware as routers (which makes them almost as expensive). The other reasons would be the ideal conditions necessary to reach the maximum speed of ~ 600 Mbits.
In addition to the interference that may be due to the fact that the network card is mounted in a box, you will need a router capable of operating in 802.11ac (obviously) and a “free zone” at 40 MHz. But these “small” obstacles never they have stopped the manufacturers, right? You probably have noticed that we use another ASUS 802.11ac ASUS AC68U wireless network card in our network tests. Well, its equivalent is the TP-LINK Archer T9E, a PCI Express 2.0 x1 network card that works in two bands (2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz), delivered with three 5 dBi antennas ready to form a beam. The chip around which the card is built is produced by Broadcom – BCM4360 – a chip that is also found in AC routers in the consumer and high-end segments. The circuit board of the card is completely covered by a generous heat sink and on the back of the stand, in addition to the multidirectional antennas, there is also an LED that indicates the state of the link. For the test, we chose the simplest option, but at the same time the most suggestive. For these tests, we use the gigabit connection and, obviously, for storage, we use a Kingston KC300 SSD. I have long known that Steam can download the game GTA V at a very high transfer rate. To verify the bandwidth provided by the internet connection and have a comparison term, I downloaded the GTA V game using a gigabit cable connection. The result is impressive. In 10 minutes, the download reaches 63 GB. The router used for the tests is the Archer C9 of 1900 Mbps. Using the wireless bandwidth of 2.4 GHz, we obtained a very good transfer rate, but not spectacular. This means a maximum of 21 MB / s. And when I entered the 5 GHz band, the TP-LINK T9E board went down. We reached a maximum of 76.1 MB / s and the average was around 65 MB / s.

In most cases, the Windows drivers found here are “self-extracting” (.exe) files. Click on the desired file. When prompted, set the destination on your desk. Create a new folder and move the file to it. Click on the file to automatically extract the software and the associated files in your new folder. You can also extract or move these files to a floppy disk. Note that these files will only be self-extracting if they are run from Windows. After extracting the files to a disk or special directory, locate the installer, usually called “setup.exe” or “install.exe”, and then click on it to start the installation.
Sometimes, there is no installer because you have to install your driver through the Windows “Add a device” function. You can find instructions for installing printers in the Windows Help file. Our Mac OSX files are also self-extracting. These files must be downloaded and executed in the same way. The installer will be present on the desktop once completed: click on it and follow the instructions to install it.
