By using this on my RaspPi2 under OpenELEC. OpenELEC immediately identified it and I use it with pleasure to transmit BD fragments from my network in my RaspPi2. The WiFi adapter is about 15 feet from the router, but the signal must penetrate between two walls, the floor and some HVAC ducts in the middle. I am quite convinced that such a small adapter can work so well for multimedia streaming. The only drawback is that FF / Rew is limited to approximately 4x and the HTPC tends to fail if I try something faster. Cable connections work fine, so this is definitely a limitation with the wireless adapter. I think it’s a reasonable expectation, though for n300 and an HD video stream.
On the other hand, it sometimes works on my laptop, but mainly due to software problems. Every time I reinstall the unit, it still works, but after about 2 weeks it will no longer work and I will have to reinstall it. However, I rarely need it, so that’s fine. I’m using a MacBook Pro with El Capitan, so maybe why. The Nano WF2123 Nano Nano wireless USB adapter is compatible with Windows, Mac OS, Linux, 300 Gbit / s at 2.4 GHz and MIMO 2T2R technology has proven to be excellent beyond my expectations.`

In most cases, the Windows drivers found here are “self-extracting” (.exe) files. Click on the desired file. When prompted, set the destination on your desk. Create a new folder and move the file to it. Click on the file to automatically extract the software and the associated files in your new folder. You can also extract or move these files to a floppy disk. Note that these files will only be self-extracting if they are run from Windows. After extracting the files to a disk or special directory, locate the installer, usually called “setup.exe” or “install.exe”, and then click on it to start the installation.
Sometimes, there is no installer because you have to install your driver through the Windows “Add a device” function. You can find instructions for installing printers in the Windows Help file. Our Mac OSX files are also self-extracting. These files must be downloaded and executed in the same way. The installer will be present on the desktop once completed: click on it and follow the instructions to install it.
