I wanted to get rid of the use of a WiFi USB adapter in an old AMD dual-core machine that I built with Linux Lite. Since this is an older machine, I did not want to invest a lot of money in the system due to its age and lack of daily use. I found this card and it seemed to do the trick. I also needed a PCI card and not a PCI-E card due to the absence of any other type of port. Installed and I decided to look at the contents of the included CD where I found a Linux folder. Surprise yourself because many vendors do not support Linux. It turns out that I did not have to try to load additional drivers into what had been naively installed with the operating system.
I selected the SSID of my network, I entered the password and a few seconds later, the connectivity greeted me. The speeds tested on speedtest.net and everything was fine. Well for what my adorable ISP provides (it does not advertise but actually delivers). Time will tell if it lasts, but during the initial installation, it meets all my expectations and more. I bought it to replace a new Linksys N wireless adapter (model WMP600N) that could barely make a connection to my Linksys dual band router at 30 meters. This range expels the Linksys card out of the water and I am very happy with the product. I have never bought anything from Netis and I must say that it is a very good product. The installation was not a problem. I installed it on a Windows 10 64-bit Professional computer and it works fine. After the installation of the card, the device was found, but its initialization failed. However, after restarting, it appeared and worked well, and has continued to function well since then. Also, I am on the first floor of our house and the Wi-Fi is up, but I receive a strong and reliable signal.

In most cases, the Windows drivers found here are “self-extracting” (.exe) files. Click on the desired file. When prompted, set the destination on your desk. Create a new folder and move the file to it. Click on the file to automatically extract the software and the associated files in your new folder. You can also extract or move these files to a floppy disk. Note that these files will only be self-extracting if they are run from Windows. After extracting the files to a disk or special directory, locate the installer, usually called “setup.exe” or “install.exe”, and then click on it to start the installation.
