I bought it to replace a previous Linksys wireless bridge (which is normally used with IP phones) that I used to wirelessly connect an old Dell XP enclosure to the next machine (I still use the old 802.11g, so I did not need the most expensive option). I have no reason to doubt your free lifetime replacement warranty, which is really a cherry on the cake if a cheap USB wireless adapter like this one broke. It is still too early to comment on longevity, but at least during the first week it has been solid.
