Our Yoga 720-13IKB was equipped with a 13.3-inch IPS touchscreen with 1920×1080 FHD resolution. Lenovo also mentions an optional 4K UHD panel on the website, although it is not currently listed on the Lenovo website in the United States. The anti-reflective glass surface of the screen is very smooth, which means that it should be possible to work in bright environments with an average brightness of 310 nits. At 350 nits, only the Asus Zenbook Flip offered an even brighter screen. On the other hand, the brightness distribution was only 82% and, therefore, it was at best mediocre, and the contrast level of only 949: 1 was below our expectations.

Combined with relatively high black levels, the color rendering was a bit pale. Our exam unit suffered a more severe screen bleeding at the bottom of the screen. On the positive side, we have not been able to detect any PWM flicker, which means that prolonged sessions in front of the screen should not cause fatigue. Despite all these criticisms, the panel left a positive impression in general. Some clouds can be seen with completely dark backgrounds, but we do not notice anything during daily use. The DeltaE values of 3.6 (colors) and 5.0 (gray levels) increased slightly, but we were able to improve them to 3.3 and 0.7, respectively, by calibration. As always, the ICC profile is available for download above. The coverage of the sRGB color space was 84% and the AdobeRGB coverage was 55%. That said, the panel is not suitable for professional photo editing. Unfortunately, despite its antireflective coating, the 720-13IKB yoga screen is still a reflection to some extent. The AntiGlare coating from Lenovo works quite well and dramatically reduces glare without being able to completely eliminate it. In particular, indoor and outdoor light environments are quite annoying. That said, the Yoga 720-13IKB can be used outdoors thanks to its decent brightness, even in bright sunlight. However, we advise you to look for a place with shade. Viewing angles are typical of an IPS panel: identical in almost all perspectives. Only the corners are slightly stained, which is not unusual for IPS panels. Since this is only visible from extreme angles, this should not affect daily use and ease of use.
