The 10.1-inch IPS screen offers a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Most competitors have screens with the same resolution and pixel density, although the Toshiba Click 10 stands out with 1920 x 1200 pixels, almost the resolution of Surface 3 at 1920 x 1280 pixels. With an average brightness of approximately 233 nits, the Miix unfortunately is lagging behind all competitors, the Toshiba Click 10 is closest to the 288 nits. The Asus Transformer Book T100HA is at the top of the ranking with almost 455 nits. Bleeding against light is modest and is mainly limited to the upper left corner. The coverage of the color space is really impressive, approximately 75% for the sRGB color space and 53% for the AdobeRGB color space, respectively.

Given the price, we can not expect much better. Even so: due to the lack of processing power, the Miix is not suitable for working in Photoshop or video editing. To examine the screen further, we used our X-Rite spectrophotometer and the CALMAN software. At the time of delivery, the screen is very good, with a noticeable difference in color and grayscale. The panel responds very well to a calibration, but the average DeltaE for colors and grayscale was reduced to 2.1 and 1.71, respectively, almost perfect. The black level of 0.348 cd / m² corresponds to a contrast ratio of 724: 1. Although not excellent, it is comparable to other removable ones with values ranging from 716: 1 (Toshiba Click 10) to 967: 1 (HP Pavilion x2 10). The Asus T100HA wins the honors again with a contrast ratio of 1462: 1. Although the average brightness may be sufficient in a moderately lit environment, the high-gloss panel does not work out well, especially when the sun is at the meeting point. Even working in the shade can be a challenge at times because the panel reflects the environment exceptionally well. At least the viewing angle is adjustable so that the user can try to minimize the glare. Fortunately, the brightness does not diminish when the Miix runs on battery; otherwise, use abroad would be impossible. Normally, for IPS panels, the stability of the viewing angle is very good and the content of the screen remains readable at all times. Of course, the brightness diminishes and the colors fade slightly, but color inversions are not a problem, even at very low angles. Of course, as the device works like a tablet, TN monitors, which are still quite common for low-budget devices, are not really adequate.
