The keyboard of our IdeaPad 320s-13IKB corresponds to the so-called Lenovo AccuType keyboard. Lenovo has been using this chiclet-style keyboard in its current form for the laptops of its private clients for about 5 years, in a barely modified form. The slightly concave rounded keys may look like a ThinkPad keyboard but do not match its quality. The line is too short and the pressure point is not sufficiently defined, but the keyboard is not abominable. As with all the IdeaPads of the 2017 generation, Lenovo slightly modified the design and reduced the vertical direction arrows, while expanding the right shift key.
The IdeaPad 320s-13IKB keyboard has a two-level white backlight. The Touchpad is a precision keyboard that meets the Microsoft standard. Therefore, nothing negative can be said about the driver’s performance. The Touchpad accepts all entries accurately and correctly, including multi-touch gestures. Touchpad: Lenovo uses a standard ClickPad with integrated buttons that can only be clicked in the lower area. The mechanism produces audible clicks. The surface of the IdeaPad 320s-13IKB ClickPad is plastic and sufficiently smooth. In short, the TouchPad convinces us. All variants of the IdeaPad 320s-13IKBR, which cost 600 euros or 1,000 euros (about 710 US dollars or about 1180 US dollars), have a 13.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 (Full HD) by default. This screen is also always an IPS matte panel. The LCD panel comes from the lesser-known manufacturer InfoVision, in short, IVO. Lenovo has done a lot of good when choosing this screen: it offers a relatively high brightness of 304 cd / m² and a high contrast value of 1320: 1, which the more expensive competitors outnumber it. In addition, the backlight barely bleeds and the brightness distribution is sufficiently uniform at 88%. We just have to criticize one disadvantage: the low PWM frequency of just under 200 Hz, which occurs at less than 100% brightness. For sensitive people, this can quickly lead to headaches. Even without calibration, the screen provides a good color screen. The calibration with the ICC profile created by us only slightly improves the color values. Subjectively, it is a good screen with a sharp image and natural colors. The correct representation of the color can also be attributed to the high coverage of the color space. 97.3% of the sRGB color space represents a good value for money, which even many expensive laptops often do not achieve. Therefore, the IdeaPad is even suitable for semi-professional image processing, even if the laptop itself is not intended for this target group.
